We’re thrilled to unveil LTM‑2 (Long-Term Memory Engine 2)—a major step forward in how Pieces helps you retain and revisit everything you’ve worked on.
This release also introduces Workstream Activity, a dedicated timeline view that surfaces your recent tasks, references, decisions, and more.
Now, instead of juggling multiple chats or searching through scattered notes, you can rely on one unified, comprehensive snapshot of your workflow.
LTM‑2 retains your context for up to nine months, automatically generating roll-ups every 10 minutes.
If you pick up a long-dormant project, you’ll find your code, notes, and conversations right where you left them—no copy-paste or re-explaining needed. And with Workstream Activity, you’ll see exactly what you worked on, who you collaborated with, and which steps or discussions led to your current place in the project.
LTM‑2 (Long-Term Memory Engine 2)
Store up to nine months of detailed workflow history, including code, references, and even side conversations—kept securely on-device.
Automatically capture relevant tasks and decisions so you can quickly refresh your memory any time.
Workstream Activity
A dedicated view in the Pieces Desktop App that chronologically lists all your recent events in structured roll-ups.
Instantly access or search past solutions, launch a Copilot Chat focused on a specific timeframe, or locate those elusive links you referenced weeks ago.
Better Access Control
Easily enable or disable sources of data you wish to track. Turn off personal directories, then switch them back on when you’re ready.
It’s your call, and all data is stored on-device for peace of mind.

Pieces ❤️ Open Source
Our team has been hard at work improving the developer experience around building with Pieces SDKs.
We’ve created copilot wrappers around the Python, C#, and TypeScript Pieces SDKs to simplify the interaction with your applications by providing a more user-friendly interface to the underlying Pieces OS Client SDKs.
Now, it’s a whole lot easier to implement a conversational copilot into your app.
